Tony Pollard's speed should be known by the Vikings.
Pollard scored a career-long touchdown on a play that was equal parts scheme and speed to start the third quarter and give the Cowboys a 30-3 lead.
On third-and-15 after two negative plays from Pollard on a minus-1-yard run and minus-4-yard screen, Kellen Moore was able to match up Pollard on Minnesota's Jordan Hicks. Pollard caught the perfectly placed pass and raced to the end zone for his second touchdown.
Pollard scored on a 30-yard checkdown from the quarterback in the second quarter and it was too much for the Vikings to handle.
No other running back has caught more 30-yard touchdown passes. The New Orleans Saints have a player with one.
Pollard is the first running back with multiple receiving touchdown of 30 or more yards in a game since Charles did it for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Oakland Raiders.
Pollard has three scores of at least 50 yards this season, tied for the most by a Cowboys running back in the last two years, and he's the only one. Pollard will be the first Cowboys running back since Emmitt Smith in 1993 to have 100 receiving yards and 50 rushing yards in the same game.
Just call @Tp__5 "Mr. Untouchable" 😉
