During their teams' No. 1 vs. 2 game on Sunday at Maple, South Carolina's Dawn Staley and Tara VanDerveer wore long-sleeved shirts with the name of the player on the back.

The coaches gathered on the court before the game for a moment of silence for their teammate, who is imprisoned in Russia for drug charges. The Phoenix Mercury center has been in confinement for over two months and is still there.

There is a letter-writing station in the Maples concourse.
