AOC tells GOP to 'connect the dots' between 'an anti-LGBT+ campaign' and the deadly shooting at a gay nightclub in Colorado Springs

At least five people were killed and more than two dozen were injured in a shooting at a nightclub in Colorado Springs. Police said the man who is in custody is a 22-year-old who used a long rifle.

The news out of Colorado Springs is absolutely awful. The victims and their families are in my thoughts.

She said that the violence needs to end quickly.

You do not get to "thoughts and prayers" your way out of this. Change and look inward.

President Joe Biden denounced hate violence in a statement.

We need to drive out the inequalities that contribute to violence. We cannot tolerate hate.

Biden called for a ban on assault weapons in order to rid the country of gun violence.
