At the end of last year, the woman was living in San Diego and working three jobs.

She was auditioning for TV shows and commercials every day. She worked as a personal assistant. Even though she wanted to pick up extra work building furniture and organizing people's closets through TaskRabbit, her limited availability meant almost no one hired her.

She tells CNBC Make It that on the verge of eviction, she enteredsurvival mode.

After her urgent need for cash forced her to invest more time on TaskRabbit, she made a lot of money. She increased her hours and prices to help her find and organize jobs.

According to documents reviewed by CNBC Make It, those jobs account for $65,200 of her income in 2021. She was able to quit her assistant job and move to Los Angeles to pursue more acting roles because of those funds.

The 29-year-old says that he can change and control his schedule and make more money. I only have to work three hours to meet my income quota.

That is dependent on the job and the day. Her best month so far this year was in July, when she made $9,165.

She built her closet-organizing business from the ground up.

At the age of 19 he moved from Mexico to study biology. She dropped out of San Diego State University after taking a few classes there. She began a small business to make money.

She stopped teaching in order to take a personal assistant job that would allow her to focus more on her acting career, which she had always wanted to do. Finances were still tight, soGarcia started running errand for friends, picking up groceries, organizing their closets, and driving them around to make more money.

A friend suggested that she join TaskRabbit so she could work for strangers. She freed up more hours for TaskRabbit after quitting her personal assistant job.

She made more money off the platform that year than in the previous year.

She offers 26 different skills on the platform, ranging from planning parties to building furniture.

One of her favorites is organizing closets. It's an element of interior design and a pillar of mental health.

She says that she can tell if a client is in a bad place from their space. When I see a messy room I see possibilities. Creating a clean template is similar to organizing.

In the first 10 months of the year, the man has made $65k. She says she works 100 hours a month.

Depending on her acting work, her daily schedule is different. She still gets organizing jobs from people who stopped using TaskRabbit. She has a lot of TaskRabbit jobs. Between acting, helping former clients, and new jobs on the platform, she works 10 hours a day.

She will make $200 a year if she builds furniture or organizes someone's closet, bathroom or pantry.

Larger projects are sometimes requested by returning clients. He made $1,200 from a 21-hour job. She organized the entire house over the course of two days.

As her primary source of income, she relies on a lot of independent work. The person isn't paid for sick days. It can be difficult to plan the rest of her life when the number of hours she works varies from month to month because making different amounts of money each month makes it hard to budget.

She says that the L.A. traffic isn't ideal.

She says the flexibility of her schedule is worth it since she can book work around her schedule, which will hopefully help her land more acting jobs in the future. Some of her built up savings have been used to travel to Europe and to China.

She hopes she will get her big break after being chosen as the lead for a project. She doesn't see herself quitting TaskRabbit until she makes enough money to cover her expenses.

She will continue to work to increase her prices and reputation on the platform.

It's important to be confident in your work to be successful on TaskRabbit. To treat it like any other job, you have to have self-discipline.
