The son of Gov. Kevin Stitt was found to be drunk and in possession of guns, but he wasn't arrested or cited.

Someone reported finding guns in the parking lot of a haunted house. John Drew Stitt, the governor's 20-year-old son, came to the sheriff's office and said the box was his.

Stitt said that one of the pistols he owned was his father's.

The report said that Stitt's speech was slurred and his pupils dilated.

The governor's office didn't say anything.

Gov. Stitt and Sen. Lankford are neutral on Trump's candidacy.

A request for comment from the sheriff's office was not responded to.

Stitt said he had been in a black Dodge Ram with four other people. Theodor of alcohol was reported by a deputy. No one was taken into custody.

The deputy requested that he call his father and ask him to retrieve the firearms as he was clearly intoxicated.

Stitt's mother spoke on the phone with a deputy and said that a member of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol would come to Guthrie to get the guns.

One of the people in the vehicle who did not appear drunk was allowed by the state trooper to drive the truck back to the city.

Four firearms were found in a box and a rifle was found under the Dodge Ram truck.

The deputy took the alcohol from the truck and brought it to the sheriff's office.
