  • John Leguizamo called Steven Seagal a horrible human.

  • In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor said that he based his washed-up character on Seagal.

  • He said 10 years ago that he would be knocked out if he ever saw him on a red carpet.

The feud between John Leguizamo and Steven Seagal has been going on for a long time.

While promoting his new film "The Menu," Leguizamo told Entertainment Weekly's Clark Collis that he based his character in the film on Sea gal. They first met on the set of "Executive Decision" in 1996, when Leguizamo played a sergeant and Seagal played a colonel.

Leguizamo seems to have no recollection of the experience. When asked how he prepared to play his role in "The Menu," Leguizamo pointed to Seagal.

He said that he's met many stars like that before they were washed up. It was based on Steven Seagal. I had a fight with him. The two of us did a movie. The decision was made by an executive. He's a terrible person.

Seagal's representatives did not reply to Insider's request.

In his award-winning solo Broadway play "Ghetto Klown," the "Encanto" star opened up about what he really thinks of Sea gal.

Leguizamo said that their beef started on the first day of rehearsals for "Executive Decision."

He came in and said he was in charge. I say what I think is right. So I began. Who does that person talk like that? Who came into rehearsal and said that? According to Leguizamo, he dropped to the ground gasping for breath after he slammed him with an aikido elbow.

He said that he would show up early on days where the death scenes were faked. I would like to see him die. Leguizamo said it was like a dream.

During an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Leguizamo said that he was respectful to all the celebrities he mentions in his play, except for Sea gal.

He said that he wasn't attacking anyone in the entire show.
