Half of the site's users responded "yes" to the question "Reinstate former President Donald Trump."

On the same day, Trump's account was re- activated. Ahead of taking over the company, Musk said he would do it, though he appeared to attribute the decision to the polling method.

Jackson criticized Musk for using agarbage poll to gauge public sentiment on the decision.

Jackson wrote that Musk is Failing our Democracy.

He said that the garbage poll didn't mean anything. Is it possible that people outside the US voted? Is it possible that you reached out to marginalized communities for their input? Your followers are not representative of America. God help us all if you run this.

Immediately after the decision, he said that any advertiser still funding the service should stop.

The company said at the time that it took the decision due to the risk of further insinuation of violence after the Capitol riot.

On Saturday, Jackson commented directly on this, saying that in Musk's platform, you can cause an insurrection at the US Capitol, which resulted in the deaths of many people.

Before the Capitol riot triggered Trump's ban, he made racist and racially inflammatory comments on social media.

World leaders were appalled by Trump's suggestion that congresswomen from countries that are a complete and total catastrophe should return to fix them.

Three of the congresswomen were born in the US.

The Southern Poverty Law Center condemned Trump for glorifying violence against protesters and encouraging right-wing extremists.

A person for Trump did not reply immediately.
