Europe's number one golfer ended the year as European number one despite Jon Rahm's victory at the World Tour Championship.
A five-under 67 by Jon Rahm on the final day gave him a two-shot lead over England's Tyrrell Hatton and Alex Noren.
The world number one was in fourth place after a four-under 66.
It's been a long time since I lifted that trophy.
Seven years is a long time, but it feels as good as I can remember.
The Harry Vardon Trophy was won by the Northern Irishman for the fourth time.
England's Matt Fitzpatrick, who was on 14 under going into Sunday, hit a double bogey and three bogeys to finish the season as Europe's number one.
If Fitzpatrick had finished as runner-up, he would have needed to be outside the top seven in order to top the ranking.
It is the second year in a row that a golfer has won the FedEx Cup and Race to Dubai titles in the same season.
The first player to win the tournament three times at the same golf course was Rahm.
It would have been nice to get one win in there at the end of the year but Jon played an incredible tournament.
I would like to say I'm up there with the best players in the world, but he is up there with me.
