Users are uploading entire movies to Twitter – and many aren't being blocked

In an indication that its copyright violation policy is not being properly enforced, a thread of videos that make up full movies such as "Need for Speed" and "Hackers" are being posted on the social networking site.

The user said that he was pushed to a full movie thread when he swiped down.

If it's been reported, the site removes or restricts access to the material if it's found to contain copyrighted material.

There are allegations of unauthorized use of a copyrighted image as a profile photo, allegations of unauthorized use of a copyrighted video or image uploaded through our media hosting services, and links to allegedly infringing materials, among others. Posts on Sunday allowed users to view a full-length film that had not been blocked.

A user uploaded "Hackers" in a series of 49 posts on Saturday and was still online on Sunday.

The movie "Need for Speed" was posted through an account with the handle "Need for speed movie", which was still visible on Sunday.
