Trying to start your car is one of the few things that can ruin your day. If you are unlucky, your best bet is to find someone with a functional car and jumper cables that will help you get your car running again. You can handle it in a second.

A portable battery pack is one of the things that I love. I keep it in the back of my car so I don't have to worry about paying for it. The pack can jump most cars. It is difficult to overstate how much a lifesaver can be.

It's just in time.

It was driven home for me when I was far away. It was the perfect time to discover that my car's battery was on its last legs because I had 24 hours of driving. The electrical system was working well. The battery wouldn't hold enough power to keep the car running. The battery died when I started the car three times.

My options were limited without the battery pack. I could have taken my car to a shop to have the battery replaced, but it would have taken a long time and I would have been out of state for a long time. It would have been more expensive than it needed to be if I had bought a battery and replaced it myself.

If I had waited for someone to jump my car so I could take it anywhere, I might not have done either of those things. It isn't an emergency plan to get assistance from a stranger.

The lights are on.

I had a battery pack in my car, so I didn't have to do anything. It was fully charged and was able to jump the car several times. If you rely on a battery pack continuously, I wouldn't recommend it. If you have a dead battery, please replace it as soon as possible.

I was able to get home without spending a lot of money on repairs to my car. It was easy to get a battery off the shelf and use it at home. The dead battery was not a big deal. It is difficult to put a price on that kind of peace of mind, but this pack costs $100 and that seems more than fair.

It is important to note that this particular battery has a reputation for being a little, well, explodeable, but it is rated for storage from 4 degrees to 122 degrees. I don't mind keeping it in the trunk of my car full-time, but the risk-benefit equation might change if you live in the middle of the desert or in a place with a lot of snow.

The pack has a built-in flashlight and can be used to charge your phone. Even if your phone has a bigger problem than your car, you can still call for help.
