According to a report by The Washington Post, Iran has agreed to provide Russia with attack drones in order to help it fight the Ukrainians.
Despite Russian forces retreating from the southern part of the country in recent weeks, the unprovoked war continues. Over the last nine months, reports of war crimes, including rape and torture, against Ukrainian civilians have surfaced, with suicide drones being used to spread "terror and chaos."
Ruslan Pukhov, an advisor to Russia's defense ministry, mistakenly said on air that Russia used Iranian drones.
We all have an asshole, but we don't use the word. The government has not admitted to the fact that the drones are from Iran.
TheIranian-designed drones will be produced inside of Russia, a tactic Iran is using in hopes of avoiding sanctions.
An unnamed official told The Post that it was moving quickly.
Iran denied giving the drones to Russia, but Iran's Foreign Minister said earlier this month that Iran did give the drones to Russia.
According to The New York Times, Russia and Iran may have formed an alliance in order to resist sanctions.
The Washington Post quoted a National Security Council spokesman as saying that Iran and Russia can lie to the world, but they can't hide the facts. Both Iran and Russia are isolated.
