Chris Christie said Saturday that it was time to stop being afraid of any one person in the GOP.
Christie told an audience at the Republican Jewish Coalition that it was time to stop whispering. It is time to not be afraid of anyone. It is time for us to stand up for the principles and beliefs that we have built up.
The comments came after Trump said he will run for president again. Christie has said in the past that he might run for president against Trump again.
Despite being one of Trump's earliest supporters, Christie has become critical of the former president and distanced himself after Trump started spreading conspiracy theories that the 2020 presidential election had been "stolen" from him.
Christie said in his speech that he was faithful to Trump until the election.
The former governor criticized Trump. Christie is one of the Republicans who are upset that some of the candidates picked by Trump didn't win their races.
We continue to lose and lose. The reason we're losing is that Donald Trump has put himself before everyone else.
