Donald Trump is allowed to return to the micro-messaging service. Musk used the results of his own personal poll to justify the decision. Less than a week after Trump confirmed he will run for president again in 2024, the account is visible again.

Shortly after taking control of the social network, Musk said he wouldn't be reinstating any banned accounts until the company had set up and convened a content moderation council.

As people were drifting off for the pre-Thanksgiving weekend, he decided to ask his own followers on the social networking site. A poll with buttons to pick "Yes" or "No" was included with the message.

He said that the voice of the people is the voice of God.

The margin of victory was 52– 48. Musk suggested that the poll was being attacked by bots, so we don't know how many of them were. Musk tried to get out of the deal by claiming that as many as 20 percent of the accounts were fake, as well as suggesting that the results of his poll about Russia and Ukraine were caused by bots.

According to Musk, over 134 million people saw the poll. Only 11 percent of people who saw it clicked on one of the buttons.

We don't know if Musk made a decision based on the poll or not. The majority of his followers said he should sell 10 percent of his stock in the company. He said he would abide by the results of the poll. He decided to sell those shares by September, two months earlier, as part of a preset trading plan meant to keep executives from trading on inside information.

After Trump inciting the January 6th Capitol attacks, he was banned from the social media site. The rules against the glorification of violence were broken by Trump. Visitors to his profile were greeted with an "account suspended" message, instead of seeing his tweets.

51.8 percent of respondents responded “yes,” according to Musk’s Twitter. 48.2 percent responded “no.”
