Warrington goalkeeper sent off after confronting fan who urinated in bottle

The goalkeeper was sent off for reacting to the fan who urinated in his water bottle.

The away fan was squirted by Tony Thompson after he drank from the bottle.

He received a red card an hour into his side's loss at home to Guiseley.

I fell out of love with the game today.

I've been called many names, but for someone to urinate in my bottle, for me to drink it, and for them to not allow me to react is outrageous.

My family's health is at risk because of that person.

Thompson was sent off by the referee after players confronted fans behind the goal at Cantilever Park.

"I don't think I'll ever be involved in anything like that again," Warrington boss Mark Beesley told The Warrington Guardian.

There is no place for things like that in life.
