Shams Charania of Stadium and The Athletic reported that Kevin Love has a fractured thumb and will be evaluated daily.

Love made a smooth transition into a bench role last season. He averaged 13.6 points, 7.2 rebound and 2.2 assists, while shooting 38.2% from three-point range through 74 games. Love told Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com that he had never had so much fun in his career.

He's putting up 11.3 points, 7.4 rebound and 2.6 assists for the 9-6 Cavs, who are in fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

The healthiest Love has been in a while. The veteran struggled to stay healthy in the past. A calf injury limited him to 25 games in 2020.

Love missed 60 games that year due to a foot injury after signing a four-year, $120 million contract extension.

Cleveland's 2016 NBA championship team has only one player left. He is still an important part of the locker room and the Cleveland decided not to trade him or buy him out. The final year of Love's contract will make him a rich man.

There is a lot of playing time for Cleveland's rookies with Evan and Jarrett Allen. Last season, Mobley finished second in the voting for theRookie of the Year with averages of 15.2 points and 8.1 rebound.

The young forwards will continue to get the job done.
