Meta announces posthumous Notorious B.I.G. concert in Horizon Worlds

The Notorious B.I.G. concert is going to be hosted by Meta. You read that right.

In celebration of Biggie's 50th birthday, Meta is holding a virtual reality concert where Biggie's "hyper- realistic" avatar will perform. The Notorious B.I.G. Estate is partnering with Willingie, Gunpowder & Sky to host an event in December.

There will be a virtual recreation of a day in Biggie's life. Touré is an American writer and musician. Sean "Diddy" Combs will perform at the concert.

Fans have used technology before to experience their favorite artists after they die. A hologram of the late Elvis Presley performed on American IDOL and a hologram of the late Tupac performed on the festival stage. Virtual reality technology has made it possible for events like Biggie's concert to be held.

At the same time, the concert comes at a time when metaverse concerts are getting more attention. The "best metaverse performance" category was introduced by MTV this year and was won by BLACKPINK.
