The show "Love is blind" is an addictive show. Recent data from Match users shows that it is becoming the truth for more daters.

Almost half of the 5000 people that were surveyed said they have fallen in love with someone they didn't initially like. More than half of daters said the same a decade ago.

The qualities singles are looking for are not related to looks.

Match data shows that the top 5 qualities singles want in a partner.

  1. 94% of daters want someone they can trust and confide in
  2. 92% of daters want someone who is comfortable communicating their wants and needs
  3. 92% of daters want someone who is emotionally mature
  4. 92% of daters want someone who can make them laugh
  5. 89% of daters want someone who is comfortable with their own sexuality

Data shows that daters prioritize mental health over looks.

According to the data from the Hinge, the majority of users on the site prefer to date someone who is vulnerable. They care more about what's important than what's worth.

They want to hear about a potential partner's values and feelings as well as hopes and fears for a relationship

A lot of people want to date someone who takes care of their mental health and they are more likely to go on a second date with someone who mentioned that they go to therapy on a first date.

According to Match data, physical attraction is the most important trait of a dater.
