Due to a lake-effect snowstorm forecast, the New York-based National Football League team decided to move their game against Cleveland to Detroit.

Stadium seats were piled high with snow as more fell. The area had 36 inches of snow as of 10:00 a.m. It was Friday.

The team canceled Thursday's practice as well.

Fans of the National Football League didn't take news of a game relocation very seriously. They urged the team to rethink.

One user said, "This is considered very light snow in New England, we've never had to move a game."

Buffalo residents found humor in the situation and jumped into action, even though they weren't used to the snow.

Some fans went so far as to clear the driveway of Bills' players to make sure they got to the airport in time for the game.

Fans of the Bills are known for their loyalty. The Bills Mafia gave Von Miller a gift of toilet paper to use at training camp.

At Detroit's Ford Field at 1 p.m., the Bills and the Indians play a game. The time is Sunday.
