Musk asked to meet with anyone who actually writes software on Friday afternoon.

He told them to gather on the 10th floor of the building, where he has been working since he took over.

Employees were told to send Musk a "bullet point summary" of their code for the past six months and up to 10 pictures of the most important lines of code.

mass resignations followed an ultimatum made by the billionaire. If employees don't sign up for Musk's version of "Twitter 2.0" by Thursday afternoon, they'll be fired.

Three people told Kali Hays that some divisions of the company don't have any employees left. According to the New York Times, another 1,200 employees resigned after Musk's ultimatum.
