Taylor Swift's fans went through the equivalent of several bear attacks in order to get tickets for her next tour, and that's what we regret. After Swift blamed them for the ticketing system's failure, the company apologized.

Those who had a terrible experience trying to purchase tickets are the ones we want to apologize to. The system failed and so many people had problems making a purchase.

In the past, the company has been able to handle a lot of customers. "However," the statement read, "this time the staggering number of bot attacks as well as fans who didn't have codes drove unprecedented traffic on our site, resulting in 3.5 billion total system requests..."

In order to give its systems time to handle the load, the company decided to slow down a certain number of sales. There were longer wait times for some fans.

According to the statement, more than 2 million tickets were sold for Taylor Swift on November 15th, the most tickets sold for an artist in a single day.

The Department of Justice is investigating Live Nation Entertainment for possibly abusing its power over the live music industry, according to the New York Times.
