Just over a week after it was reported that Robin Wheeler had to be persuaded not to resign, the head of ad sales seems to have left again.

The details of why Wheeler was fired from the company are not known. Wheeler followed that with a salute that has become a sign that you're leaving the company. She didn't reply to the request for confirmation of her firing. There isn't a communications department that takes such requests.

It is the latest twist in the story of ad sales executives at the social networking site. Sarah Personette, the company's top advertising executive, resigned. On November 10th, it was reported that Wheeler, the VP of US client solutions, had resigned, but was persuaded by Musk to stay.

Her retention period was brief.

Several factors have not made advertisers happy. The clients of three of the largest ad firms have been warned not to run campaigns on the site. Losing the head of ad sales is not good.

A lot of the company's executives have left. Several top-level officers have resigned since Musk took over. After laying off thousands of workers and contractors, he gave them the option of taking a severance package or working at a hardercore version of the social networking site. Hundreds of workers have taken the money and walked.
