The league's alcohol policy does not apply to teams that don't abide by it. The memo is in response to the early Friday morning arrest of Tennessee TITANS OPERATING CO-FOUNDER TODD DOWNING.
The teams were told that they could not have alcohol in locker rooms, team facilities, and modes of transportation.

According to the sheriff's department in Tennessee, after theTitans returned from Green Bay, Downing was charged with driving under the influence.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol pulled over the football player at 2:30 a.m. local time, according to the website. The plane carrying the team arrived in Nashville at 2:11 a.m.
The Washington Commanders disciplined several players after they were seen on social media with alcohol.
The team was cooperating with the league regarding the arrest.
