Bridges has been with the Charlotte Hornets for his entire NBA career, and the team extended a qualifying offer to him that both sides let expire.
He was arrested on June 29 for allegedly hitting his girlfriend in front of their children. He was charged with one felony count of injuring a child's parent and two felony counts of child abuse.
As part of a deal with prosecutors, Bridges was sentenced to three years of supervised release. He must complete 100 hours of community service and attend domestic violence counseling and parenting classes.
If Bridges is found to have violated the NBA's policy on domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse, he can be fined, suspended or disqualified.
The Hornets can match any offer he gets from another team.

The Lakers could use a player of Bridges' caliber and he could slot into the starting lineup. It's not clear how much signing Bridges will help the team improve.
Like the Lakers, the Pistons are 3-13 and have been struggling immensely.
