According to reports, Musk has locked employees out of the company's offices.
An email was sent to staff that said they wouldn't be allowed into their offices for the rest of the week.
"We're hearing that the company is going to be sabotaged by employees because they're terrified of them," he wrote. They're still figuring out which workers they need to cut access to.
The saga got even stranger today when Musk sent an email to staff asking them to come to the 10th floor for a meeting after they were locked out of the headquarters.
Since Musk's acquisition of the company late last month, there has been a lot of confusion.
The news of the office closing comes not long after Musk issued an ultimatum to the staff who survived his first purge, in which he said that if "tweeps" didn't come into the office, they would be effectively tendering their jobs.
Musk told his new employees that if they weren't prepared to be extremely hardcore and work long in-office hours, they would have to cut and run.
Many employees of the company have chosen the latter, which was described as a mass exodus by some.
Who could blame them in the face of all this?
Musk is said to be begging engineers not to leave.
