Minkah Fitzpatrick, a Pro Bowl safety for the PittsburghSteelers, is set to play against the CincinnatiBengals after missing a game due to an illness.
He said that doctors initially told him it could take 10 days to recover from the surgery and that it could take another two weeks. It's important to make sure that that's healed before you go.
Fitzpatrick had his appendix removed before the game against the Saints. He was at Acrisure Stadium to support his team. Fitzpatrick practiced Thursday and Friday despite not practicing Wednesday.
"That is the dog in him," Kazee said. I will be watching film when I go home. I have to steal some of his practices. It's pretty cool.
Fitzpatrick's pick-six on the second play of the game was the difference in the overtime win against the Cincinnati. He had a team high 14 tackles.
