Lamar Jackson has excelled at eluding pass-rushers and defensive linemen, despite not being well.

Jackson missed practice Friday because he was once again sick but coach John Harbaugh expressed confidence that the two-time Pro Bowl quarterback will start.

Harbaugh said that he would be fine. He was sick enough to not be able to practice.

Harbaugh was asked if he would play on Sunday.

Jackson was not present at practice, but the reason was not surprising. Jackson has been sick in the regular season six times since the start of the 2020 season. Jackson was too sick to play in the Week 11 game in Chicago and backup Tyler Huntley led the Ravens to a 16-13 victory.

Jackson said last year that he was not concerned about the number of times he had been sick.

Jackson said he's been healthy all his life. Until I'm here, I didn't have any problems with being ill. I'm not sure what that is.

Jackson has not practiced this year. He had been limited in two practices due to injuries.

The biggest spread of the week was the 13 point favoritism for the Ravens over the panthers. Jackson is 26-2 in his first start against a team. The best record for quarterbacks to start against at least 20 different teams was in 1950.

Huntley would make his fifth career start.
