The Surface Pro 8 is a great machine for work. The 2-in-1 has a 13-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an 11th- generation Intel chip.

I would go for the Surface Pro 8 if I could spend $90 more. You will be able to juggle multiple apps at a time with no issues thanks to the 32 gig of ram and the Core i7 chip. Anyone who runs out of space on their machine can use the 1 Terabyte of storage.

You can get the brand-new Surface Pro 9 with the same configuration as the base Surface Pro 8 for $200 more if you have room in your budget. The 12th- generation Intel Core i5 processor has slightly improved performance compared to the previous generation. The latest 2-in-1 from Microsoft comes with a keyboard, a protection plan and discounted prices.

The new Surface Laptop 5 doesn't offer enough upgrades to justify the extra cost, so it's best for most people. The 15-inch version of the laptop is on sale, along with a nice keyboard and glass trackpad. Microsoft doesn't have a lot of ports, but it does have a couple. We've tested both of the options and both will be able to handle most tasks.

You can find this deal at Amazon. Even though it's a year old, the Surface Go 3 is a good 2-in-1 for students. Compared to other Surface devices, it's cheap. It has support for Microsoft's Surface Pen and type cover keyboard, making it a great option for note taking and school work. If you plan on using the Surface Go 3 every day with lots of multitasking, we recommend you use the Intel Core i3 chip with 8 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of storage.

The Surface laptop studio is a great machine for power users. You can take notes or make sketches with the 2-in-1 laptop and tablet that comes with it. It's too heavy to carry around for a long period of time. It's best if you use it on a table or on your lap, and if you plan on using it for video games or editing videos, we recommend splurging on this configuration.

The Xbox Series S is a great alternative if you don't need a powerful console or if you are struggling to get the Series X. It can power games up to 120 frames per second, but doesn't support discs. The Series S's lowest price has been tracked by us.

The Portal Headset is the first accessory designed for the Xbox, and it comes with a near-instant wireless connection to the Series X, S, and Xbox One. It also doubles as a pair of noise-canceling headphones, with the ability to switch between the console andBluetooth, and a companion app that has an equalizer function.

You can find this deal at Amazon. If you plan on playing video games with friends or family over the holidays, you're likely in the market for extras. Carbon Black, Robot White, Shock Blue, and Electric Volt are all discounted.
