A new rumor suggests that the type of processor that will be used in the next flagship series will be different from the one used in the current ones.

According to Ice universe (opens in new tab), the next iteration of the S23 series will be powered by a high-frequency version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. This variant is said to be exclusive to the next flagship models of the company, implying that they will most likely have the best processor of all the phones in the future.

The best phones in Europe will be able to use the special variant of the Chipset on the S23 models. Consumers in the region have complained about the slow performance of Exynos-toting models. The global variant of the S23 series are getting the new chips.

Ice universe posted a picture of a Geekbench 5 listing for a device bearing the model number SM-S918B, which is believed to be the flagship device of the company. The special variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 has a 3.36 GHz core.

The real-world difference between these clock speeds may be subtle, and it could be hard to tell how far the overclocked version goes in terms of speed and performance. The higher the maximum clock of the high- performance core, the better.

The new chip from the company promises to be 25% faster and 45% more efficient than the previous one. It is an improvement on its own.
