In his 11th career NBA game, James slammed home the first points of the game for Cleveland as they hosted the LA Clippers in what was then called Quicken Loans Arena.

Over his first 10 games in the NBA, James averaged 16.8 points, 6.4 rebound and 6.4 assists, showing the impact he could have on the game. On that night against the Clippers, he struggled with his jump shot, but still managed 14 points and 8 assists, as the Cavs beat the Clippers 103-95.

The baby was born in a hospital in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia.

The Pistons play the Lakers on the same day as Duren's 19th birthday. Duren is the youngest active player in the NBA and the first NBA player who was born after James made his NBA debut.

James had 168 career points when Duren wasborn. James is nearing the all-time scoring record and faces off against a player almost half his age.

Duren said it would be a "surreal moment." He's been in the league longer than I have been. Being on the floor with him is legendary in a lot of ways. It's going to be a great experience.

Duren's birth certificate might suggest that he is a boy, but the way he has asserted himself on the court early in his career suggests otherwise.

The Pistons coach said that he felt older. You remember that he is a teenager when he acts a bit older. You wouldn't know because he carries himself in a mature way.

Duren was the second- youngest player in NBA history to record a double-double in his debut, with a 14-point, 10-rebound performance against the top pick in the draft. He missed three games due to an ankle injury, but is still averaging 6.5 points and 7.4 boards in 21.4 minutes off the bench for Detroit. Banchero is the only rookies who is averaging more boards.

Duren said this summer that he didn't care about his age. I'll be ready to hoop once we get in between the lines.

The organization is encouraged by the early returns on Duren, who they picked up for nothing in the draft.

The Hornets traded Duren to the Knicks on draft night. He ended up in Detroit as a result of the Pistons taking on Kemba Walker's contract in order to help the Knicks free up cap space. Duren will be just 21 years old by the time the pick Detroit sent to New York is conveyed.

His skills translate to the NBA. His ability to rebound, shot blocking, and translate his athletic abilities is whattranslates. He will pick up on the nuances of the offensive end of the floor as he gets older. His size and athletic abilities are already being translated.

During the second quarter of the opening night victory against the Magic, Duren showed off his immense potential.

Duren tipped a rebound away from Bamba and then ran up the floor to start a fast break after the 3-pointer by Wagner. Duren ran down the middle of the floor after he delivered an outlet pass. As he steamrollered toward the basket, the pass was returned to him, and he dunked over Okeke. Duren turned toward the Detroit bench as his teammates screamed and flexed in front of the Little Caesars Arena crowd.

After the game, Duren felt like he was finally here.

The average age of the Pistons' roster is 25.08, but that wasn't always the case for Duren as he grew up. He was taller than the other 13 year olds but still played with them. Rob Brown recruited Duren after he played for a small basketball program. Most of the players on that team would try to emulate pros like James or Kevin Durant, but Brown would send Duren clips of big men with comparable skill sets against whom James competed at the beginning of his career

Duren said that everyone was a fan of the player during his prime years.

When Duren was in high school, he modeled his game after Anthony Davis, who was a teammate of James'. Duren took advantage of online class opportunities while stuck in hotels to complete his senior year requirements and become a member of the Class of 2021. Duren was able to be drafted because he was one year removed from his high school graduation and was 19 years old at the time.
