GOP megadonors are not the only ones who are turning their back on Trump. The one-time spiritual adviser to Trump called him childish a day after he announced his candidacy.
The Washington Post reports that James Robison, president of Life Outreach International, slammed Trump during a meeting of the National Association of Christian Lawmakers.
Robison said that in the past, Trump didn't always listen to his advice when they talked on the phone.
You act like a small child and you shoot yourself in the foot every morning when you open your mouth. Robison told Trump that the more he kept his mouth shut, the more successful he would be.
Robison told the NACL that it was time for conservatives to unite and pray.
He said that they need to stop amputating each other and come together in supernatural unity that Jesus Christ prayed for.
How does Mr. Trump expect people to stop big issues if he can't stop his small issues? Robison said something else.
A number of Trump allies have broken with him or held back from endorsing him. On Tuesday night at Mar-a-Lago, Trump said he would make America great andglorious again. Insider asked Robison if he would endorse Trump's bid, but he didn't reply.
Robert Jeffress told Newsweek that he wouldn't endorse Trump until he won the GOP nomination.
Jeffress doesn't want to be part of a civil war between the Republicans and Democrats.
A number of Trump's financial backers have left his camp in the past week.
Ken said he wouldn't be supporting Trump, who he called a three-time loser. He threw his support behind Ron DeSantis, who was vying for the Republican nomination for president.
Stephen Schwarzman, who is a GOP mega-donor, said he would back a candidate who is not Trump. Schwartzman donated $3 million to Trump's America First Action in order to fuel his 2020 campaign.
"America does better when its leaders are focused on the future, not the past," he said. I will support one of the candidates in the presidential primaries because it is time for a new generation of leaders.
A prominent Trump donor declared this week that he won't be giving Trump a nickel. According to CNBC, the former president is blamed for the GOP's poor performance in the elections.
The representative at the post-presidential press office did not reply immediately.
