Taylor Swift fans should tell the Department of Justice to break upTicketmaster after the latest debacle regarding ticket sales for the singer's tour.

The general public sale for the tour was canceled due to high demand and insufficient remaining tickets. The "Verified Fans" who were selected at random from a pool of applicants to receive access to the pre-sale were the first to go on sale.

IsTicketmaster monopoly the reason you're down? After the news broke, Ocasio-Cortez directed her followers to tell the Department of Justice to break up Ticketmaster.

The link to the form that allowed users to sign up to send an email to the Justice Department was included in the message. More than 28,000 emails have been sent by Live Nation-Ticketmaster, according to the page. Concert-goers, sports fans, artists, venues, and other ticket companies have been screwed over by them. The Department of Justice needs to investigate their conduct and break them up.

The 2010 merger of Live Nation, the events promoter and venue operator, and Ticketmaster, the ticket seller and distributor, has come under scrutiny.

The merger with LiveNation should never have been approved because they are a monopoly. She said to break them up.

The issue has been asked to be investigated by the Biden administration. In April 2021, a group of democrats sent a letter to the Attorney General asking for an investigation into Live Nation Entertainment.

The letter supports strong antitrust enforcement by the Biden Administration. The 2010 merger between the world's largest concert promoter, Live Nation, and the biggest ticket provider, Ticketmaster, has harmed consumers and needs to be reexamined.
