Now is the time to apply for the Capital One Savor CashOne rewards credit card.

I intend to apply for the Capital One SavorOne Card. The recent perks added to this card sealed the deal for me, even though the card has been on my radar for a while. Below is a list of reasons that I think the Capital One SavorOne is worth the money.

No specific order...

No annual fee

The Capital One SavorOne doesn't have an annual fee for the first year or the next year. There is no annual fee on a card that offers valuable perks.

Picking up cards with no annual fee is a good idea. Increasing your average age of accounts and keeping cards in the long run can help your credit score. I prefer not to pay an annual fee if I want to keep my cards.

$200 welcome bonus

After spending $500 in the first three months, Capital One SavorOne will give you a bonus of $200. That is a solid bonus for a no annual fee personal card, though I think this is the icing on the cake, as the main reason you want this card is because of the long term value.

No foreign transaction fees

There are no foreign transaction fees on the Capital One SavorOne. Many people want a no annual fee card that doesn't impose foreign transaction fees, so this is a great card to consider.

Capital One has no foreign transaction fees on any of its cards.

Great 3% cash back bonus categories

There are bonus categories for the Capital One SavorOne. The card has no limits on earning.

  • 3% cash back on dining
  • 3% cash back at grocery stores
  • 3% cash back on entertainment
  • 3% cash back with select popular streaming services
  • 1% cash back on all other purchases

The return on dining, grocery stores, and more can be achieved with this card.

Complimentary Uber One membership

The Capital One SavorOne really starts to make me want to go. Those with a Capital One card can receive a complimentary ride hailing membership through November 14, 2024, thanks to a partnership between the two companies. It is a great value for a no annual fee card since it retails for $9.99 per month.

This is something I wouldn't pay for if I didn't order food through the app a lot. The perks are offered with the two ride-sharing companies:

  • 5% off eligible rides and orders of food, groceries, alcohol, and more
  • Being matched with top-rated drivers
  • An Uber One Promise, whereby on eligible deliveries you’ll get $5 in Uber Cash if the latest arrival estimate (shown after the order is placed) is wrong
  • Unlimited $0 delivery fees on eligible food orders over $15 and grocery orders over $30
  • Access to premium member support, special offers and promotions, and invite-only experiences

10% cash back with Uber & Uber Eats

There is a perk that I am even more excited about because of the partnership between Capital One and the ride hailing service. Capital One SavorOne is offering 10% cash back on purchases made with the ride-sharing companies.

This is a huge improvement over the rewards I get on these purchases with other cards. This is enough motivation for me to pick up the card since it's a significant household expense for us and we're going out to eat less.

Convert rewards into Capital One miles

The Capital One SavorOne is a great card for points lovers. If you have a Capital One Venture card with the Capital One Venture X rewards credit card, all rewards will be converted into miles.

Each cent of cash back earned with the card can be converted into a Capital One Venture mile. I value Capital One miles at 1.7 cents each, so that increases the value of the points a lot.

The 3% cash back bonus categories can really earn you 3x Venture miles, and the 10% cash back can really earn you 10x Venture miles, if you use it for food delivery.

Amazing Capital One Venture X complement

The Capital One Venture X is very popular with people who collect points.

The Venture X has an annual fee of $395 and a $300 travel credit, but it shouldn't cost you much. The card has access to Capital One Lounges, great authorized user perks, cell phone protection, rental car coverage, and more.

This card is complemented by the Capital One SavorOne.

  • It allows you to build up a portfolio of cards to maximizing your Capital One miles; this card could help you earn 3x Venture miles on dining, grocery stores, entertainment, and select streaming services
  • The Uber One and 10% cash back perks are only offered on the Savor One, and not on the Venture X

Bottom line

The Capital One SavorOne is the best no annual fee card on the market. The card has bonuses with no foreign transaction fees. It's even better now because it has some amazing limited time perks, including an Uber One membership.

The Capital One Venture X gives you the ability to pool your rewards and turn cash back into miles. I plan to pick up this card soon and use it to maintain a great credit score.

The Capital One SavorOne is worth something.
