The remaining employees of the company have resigned ahead of Musk's "EXTREMELY hardcore" cultural reset.
After Musk recently fired dozens of employees who criticized or mocked him, there is a new purge at the micro-blogging site. Today would be their final day of work and they would receive a severance package if all employees answered "yes" on Thursday. After the deadline passed, hundreds of employees began posting farewell messages and salutes to the crowd in the social network's chat room.
The company had 2,900 remaining employees before the deadline, thanks to Musk laying off half of the workforce when he took over. The remaining and departing employees said that they expect the platform to break soon. One person said that they look up tolegendary engineers and others look up to leaving one by one.
The person said that it felt like all the people who made the place great are leaving. No matter how hardcore the people who remain try to be, it will be very difficult to recover from here.
One person has worked at the company for over a decade. I was the 27th most tenured employee back in July. I'm the fifteenth.
Another person said they were not pressing the button. My watch comes to an end with the latest version of the social networking site. I don't want to be a part of the new social networking site.
