Nintendo Power is one of the most important parts of Nintendo's history. Many of us have fond memories of playing it but didn't have the foresight to save them. There's no better cure for nostalgia than the internet and every issue is available to download right now.
According to Nintendo Life, a group of archivists have been working on a project called "Retromags," an endeavor to uploading retro magazines to the internet for fans to peruse and reminisce. The magazine is called Nintendo Power. Each and every one of those issues can be downloaded to your computer for free.
The entire collection was added by Gumball. They note that there isn't a single place on the internet where you can get all the issues of Nintendo Power. You can now save the entire 40GB collection to your computer, either issue by issue, or all in one big batches. It's a good time to be alive.
Comic book reader files can't be read with a standard image viewer. A comic book reader is required to open them. Simple Comic is available on the Mac or iPhone.
The downloads are not easy to use. I had to start again after a lot went belly up. I'm not sure if that's because there are a lot of people trying to download these files at once, but it's something to consider if you're prone to becoming annoyed when you're slightly inconvenienced.
We don't know how long this collection will last. Nintendo has a reputation for siccing its legal team anything it doesn't like, from fan-made versions of its game to the original soundtrack. If the company leaves this project alone, try to grab them as soon as possible.
