The ticket sale was canceled because of high demand and insufficient remaining ticket inventory. Swift's Eras Tour is her first tour in over a year, and she has released four albums and re- recorded two classics since then.

Fans were stuck in the queue for hours for tickets after the website crashed on the first day of the sale.

The second wave of ticket sales was reserved for Capital One card holders and went on sale yesterday. 14 million people tried to buy tickets to the Eras Tour, according to Greg Maffei.

Fans who weren't chosen for a presale code and aren't Capital One card holders are unable to purchase tickets because of the cancellation of the public sale. Things are looking dire for Swifties after the resale website StubHub posted thousands of dollars worth of tickets to the pre-sale.

Who knows how high prices will go now that the general sale of tickets has been canceled?
