The public sale of Taylor Swift tickets is being canceled. The sale was canceled due to high demands on ticketing systems and insufficient remaining ticket inventory to meet that demand, according to a statement on the company's website.

The pre-sale for Swift's The Eras Tour was a disaster. Millions of people tried to buy tickets for the pre-sale.

The pre-sale for shows in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Santa Clara, and Seattle was delayed because of the bad reception. The Capital One pre-sale was pushed all the way back to Tuesday.

Swift hasn't been on tour since last year, and the planned Lover Fest tour was canceled due to the swine flu, so fans who have been wanting to see Swift perform some of her newer albums live have been waiting for a while.

On Tuesday, the pre-sale was a success, according to a post on the Ticketmaster website. Around 1.5 people were invited to buy a ticket during the pre-sale after more than 3.5 million people registered as a verified fan. There were a lot of fans who didn't have invite codes who visited. 3.5 system requests was four times more than the previous peak. About 15% of interactions across the site experienced issues, it's unclear what the company is counting as an "Interaction." I wasn't even trying to buy a ticket when themaster crashed for me.

On November 15th, Swift sold more than 2 million tickets to her concerts, and every buyer was a fan. It is not possible for everyone to get tickets to these shows, but we know we can do more to improve the experience. The company didn't reply to a request for comment on whether or not the public sale of tickets would happen in the future.
