Ellen Pompeo Says Goodbye To 'Grey's Anatomy'

The series lead just said goodbye after it was reported that she was leaving the show.

Ellen thanked the fans in her farewell post, saying they are the ones who made her run on Grey's so fun.

Ellen's character says goodbye to her fellow doctors as she moves away from Seattle and heads to Boston in a sneak peek for the upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" midseason premier. Ellen has only appeared in 7 episodes of the current season, but there were earlier reports that she was scaling back her role to 8 episodes.

There were recent rumors that Ellen and Patrick would be on a new show, but Patrick denied the reports.

Ellen says she will definitely be back to visit.
