The Charlotte Hornets All-Star point guard has been ruled out of Friday night's game against Cleveland because of an ankle injury.
It's not yet known how long Ball will be out after he injured his ankle for the second time in a loss to the Pacers.
Ball injured his ankle in a preseason game against the Wizards. He missed the first 13 games of the season due to that.
Ball stepped on a fan's foot as he tried to save a ball from going out of bounds in the fourth quarter after returning from a three game absence.
Ball was in pain and did not come back.
