The body of a British astronomer has been found.

The La Silla Observatory is located outside the Atacama desert in Coquimbo. After Marsh's clothes and cellphone were found, the search was extended. 55 days after he went missing, his body was found in the vicinity of the observatory, which was undressed from the waist up.

The astronomer's lifeless body was found by Gope, a specialized unit of the police. We offer our sympathies to his family and friends.

Strange Circumstances

It is not known what happened during the final hours of Marsh's life. The investigation's main theory is that Marsh went out for a trek and ended up lost.

The British astronomer went to La Silla observatory for four days to see the New Technology Telescope. One of Marsh's colleagues said that he knew the terrain very well. Marsh had taught there before.

A British student is a key witness in the mystery. According to testimony he gave to the police, on the day before he vanished, Marsh berated the student for his lack of commitment and told him "something super strange".

Remember the Man

Chris Ennew said that the discovery of Tom's body was distressing news for his family.

She said that she knows what a terrible time it is for the colleagues who knew Tom and counted him as a close friend.

Hopefully, investigators will be able to figure out what happened to give the family and friends some semblance of closure.
