Two years ago this week, the HomePod mini was released to customers, marking the first addition to the family since the original speaker's launch. Two years after its release, the lineup hasn't changed, but that will change in 2023.

The original full-sized HomePod was in the lineup when Apple announced the mini. Apple stopped selling the full-sized HomePod in March of 2021. The size and price of the original HomePod were addressed by the HomePod mini. The HomePod mini comes in a wide variety of colors.

We look at the future and what Apple has to offer.

Resurrection of Full-Sized HomePod

There will be a resurrection of the original full-sized HomePod. Many thought the reason for Apple's decision to stop selling the original HomePod was due to its $299 price tag and lack of features.

An updated version of the full-sized HomePod is expected to be launched by Apple in 2020. The S8 chip from the Apple Watch Series 8 is rumored to be used in the new HomePod.

The form factor and design are expected to stay the same, even if there is a larger multi-touch display at the top. The new HomePod is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2019.

An Updated HomePod mini

According to Mark Gurman, Apple could update the HomePod mini in the near future, but exact details are not known. The HomePod mini is powered by the same chip as the Apple Watch Series 5 and the first- generation Apple Watch SE. In a hypothetical update, Apple could include a newer and faster chip that would allow for faster processing of Siri requests.

Apple TV and HomePod Combo

According to Mark Gurman, a HomePod product is an Apple TV and HomePod combo. According to Gurman, Apple is working on a speaker that will include the functions of the Apple TV, as well as an all-in-one entertainment system. It's reported that the product has a camera that could allow for video calls. The product launch is likely to be a while away and no other details are known at the moment.

What do you think should be included in a future product? We would appreciate it if you would tell us in the comments.
