The president of Ukraine said he had no doubt that his country was not to blame for a missile strike that hit a Polish village, killing two people.

Zelenskyy said on Ukrainian TV that his military commanders had told him that the missile strike on Russia was not the cause of Tuesday's incident, which provoked an international furor and fears of a wider conflict between NATO and Russia.

Zelenskyy said he had no doubt that it was not a missile and not a missile strike.

He asked for access to the site of the explosion near the village of Przewodow in southeastern Poland and for Ukraine to be part of the investigation being led by Poland and the U.S.

I think we have the right to this. Is it possible to keep the final conclusions out of the public eye? It is fair to me. Should we be in a joint investigative group? I believe we should.

There were suspicions that Russia was behind the attack because of the large number of missile strikes it had inflicted on cities across the country. Poland and its NATO allies initially assumed that Russia was behind the attack, but they denied it and called it a deliberate provocation.

Police run a check point outside the scene in Przewodow, Poland, where authorities in Warsaw say a Russian-made missile struck its territory, killing two civilians.

As a flurry of high-level diplomatic meetings took place on Wednesday, with NATO itself holding an emergency meeting, more details emerged about the incident with Western officials suggesting that the Ukrainian air defense system was to blame.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said that Russia was to blame for the incident.

The military alliance believes that the incident was caused by a Ukrainian air defense missile fired to defend Ukrainian territory against Russian cruise missile attacks.

This is not the fault of Ukranian. Russia is responsible for its illegal war against Ukraine.

There was no indication that the missile incident was the result of a deliberate attack or that NATO was attacked.

Members of the Polish Police conduct search and inspect the fields near the village of Przewodow in Poland on November 16, 2022 after two people were killed in a missile strike.

Despite NATO exonerating Ukraine, and even the injured party Poland accepting the missile strike was an "isolated incident", Kyiv was quick to defend itself.

The head of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine said that he wanted to see evidence that suggested it was involved.

The evidence of the Russian trail that the Ukrainians have is ready to be handed over but the Ukrainians are still waiting for information from their partners.

If anyone was to be allowed to take part in these proceedings both parties would have to agree, according to the president of Poland.
