After the league's eight teams took turns selecting players over 44 rounds, the first day of the XFL draft is over.

The draft was broken down by positions. The offensive skill-position players were the first to be drafted. The defensive backs went in the 11th round.

From Rounds 23-33, the defensive front seven took charge. The offensive line was the center of attention.

The XFL will start on February 18. There will be eight teams for the third version of the league.

They are the Arlington Renegades, DC Defenders, Houston Roughnecks, San Antonio Brahmas, Seattle Sea Dragons, St. Louis Battle Hawks, and Vegas Vipers.

You can find each team's roster by going to the "team" section on XFL.com and selecting who you want to look for. Kevin Skiver has a running list as well.

signal-callers were not involved in Wednesday's process because the XFL head coaches pre- selected their quarterbacks. The Quarterback Selection Show broadcasted on Tuesday.

Notable quarterbacks include A.J. McCarron, who spent six seasons in the NFL as a backup. The Atlanta Falcons signed him for the 2021 season, but he tore his knee in the preseason, ending his season.

In 17 games, the 32-year-old completed 68.6 percent of his passes for 1,173 yards and six touchdown.

When Alabama won back-to-back national titles, McCarron was the starting quarterback. He will play for the Battlehawk.

Luis Perez is a player in the XFL. He led the New Jersey Generals to a 9-1 record and a playoffs appearance. Perez completed 71.7 percent of his passes for 1,200 yards and nine touchdown. He joined the Rams for training camp, but was not retained. Perez will play for the team.

Ben DiNucci is a former James Madison actor. He made one start for the Dallas Cowboys in 2020 and threw for 180 yards in a 23-9 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He was a member of Dallas' practice squad and training camp for the 2020 season before being released.

On the second day of the draft, the eight teams will pick their kickers, punts and long-snappers. Teams can opt out of the process if they so choose.

The supplemental draft will be for anyone currently under contract with another professional sports league.
