Disney Cruise Line will add a new ship after acquiring the partially built Global Dream.

Disney did not say where the ship would be based, but it will be renamed and headed to new destinations outside of the US. The ship is expected to leave in 25 years.

The Global Dream was 75% finished by the time the Werften shipyard ceased operations. The mega ship was being built for the Asians.

The ship is expected to be the first to run on green Methanol, an emerging fuel source with lower emissions than liquified natural gas.

Meyer Werft, the company that builds the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish, will manage the construction of the ship.

Due to the financial troubles of Genting Hong Kong, the ship is no longer in use. The Crystal Endeavour expedition ship was bought by Silversea Cruises after the collapse of Crystal Cruises.

The Crystal brand will be revived and two ocean-going ships will be acquired by a travel group.

A new cruise line will be launched with the old Crystal Mozart river ship.
