It appears that some pieces may have fallen off of NASA's Space Launch System as it propelled the first Artemis mission toward the M oon last night.

Two NASA officials commented on the possibility of debris liberation from the rocket. Pieces flying off the rocket is what it means in English.

The launch team has been studying a new issue: The possible liberation of the RTV material. The sensor is likely to come after the launch.

Fret Not

Sheetz said that NASA assessed the situation and found that it was not too bad.

"Debris trajectory analysis found no additional risk, but the sensor connected to RTV caulking was just removed," Nail claimed.

"After the RTV comes loose, it's expected to hit a 'rigid structure' of the cone shaped adapter between Orion and the ICPS that can stand the impact," Sheetz said.

"There was some indication we had debris liberation early in ascent, but it's too early to say for sure," according to SpacePolicyOnline.

The agency assures the public that it really isn't a big deal if the stuff flew off of the Moon rocket.
