JetBlue is launching service to Paris from JFK and Boston

The airline plans to launch service to Paris from New York and Boston in order to disrupt US legacy airlines and tap into the growing demand for overseas travel.

Non-stop flights between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport will begin in Summer 2023.

It will be added at a later time.

Following the launch of service to London from New York and Boston, the move doubles the number of locations for the airline in the region. The airline has ordered a number of long-range aircraft to handle its European expansion.

France is on track to welcome 75 million visitors this year with travel trends to the world's most visited country expected to remain strong in the years to come.

The lucrative trans-Atlantic travel market accounted for up to a third of passenger revenues at United, Delta, and American airlines.

The rush to connect US cities to Europe was caused by the swine flu. New and returning European routes will be announced by United and Delta.

In October of this year, the stockholders of Spirit Airlines voted to accept the merger proposal from JetBlue. A proposed merger deal with Frontier was canceled by Spirit.
