According to a report by Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to release a new version of its operating system in December. Many new features and changes have already been uncovered, so the update is still being tested.
There are a number of new features in the latest version of the operating system.
Apple's new digital whiteboard app, Freeform, is included in the latest version of the mobile operating system. There is an infinite canvas for you to draw on with the app. You can use the app on the iPad and the Mac to work with others.
Freeform is more useful on the iPad than the Apple Pencil is on the iPhone.
There are two new Lock Screen apps for sleep and medication. You can see your most recent sleep session and sleep stages with the Sleep andMedications widgets.
You can hide the wallpaper and notifications on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. In always-on mode, the Lock Screen has a solid black look similar to the one on the phone.
The "Show Wallpaper" and "Show Notifications" buttons can be found in the settings app.
Sports scores can be scored via the Apple TV app. The Lock Screen and Dynamic Island can be used to view live scores of MLB, NBA, and Premier League games.
The Dynamic Island can show a live-updating score with the number of goals scored by each club. The Dynamic Island expands when pressed to show time and play. The score is displayed in a Lock Screen banner when the phone is locked.
If you want to test the feature, open the TV app and tap on the "Follow" button. For users in the US, Canada, Australia, U.K., Brazil, Mexico, Japan, and South Korea, the feature is available.
Live Activities will update more frequently on iOS 16.2 when a new " More Frequent Updates" option is enabled, allowing users to view more up-to- date information, but Apple warns this setting can drain your phone's battery faster.
It's unclear what the refresh interval is for Live Activities currently, but the new option will be even faster, which would be useful for tracking the arrival of an Uber vehicle or a Starbucks delivery order.
The Home app can be updated with a new underlying architecture after opening it. The app's performance, efficiency, and reliability have been improved by the new architecture. Matter accessories were supported in the Home app.
