The 25,000 seat stadium will be home to Major League Soccer's New York City Football Club.

Mayor Eric Adams is expected to announce a deal on Wednesday.
The deputy mayor for economic and workforce development said in an interview that Queens will become the home of soccer.
The stadium will be located across the street from Citi Field and will be part of a larger waterfront project that will include housing and a hotel.
In the past few years, expansion teams like FC Cincinnati and Austin FC have built soccer specific stadiums in urban areas in order to meet the MLS commissioner's desire.
"We want our club to be a part of the community that's accessible to fans, and this is just another step in that direction," he said.
