The "Queen of Christmas" will not be getting everything she wants for Christmas this year. MC tried to trademark "Queen of Christmas" but was denied by the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. We reported that as well. The singer applied for the trademark in March of 2021. Elizabeth Chan filed an opposition to the word "Christmas" being monopolized by MC. In her filing, she said she wanted to use the title for perfumes, nail polish, jewelry, cups, mugs, chocolate milk, coconut water and ornaments. It is wrong for an individual to attempt to own and monopolize a nickname like Queen of Christmas because Christmas is a season of giving.
