Musk fires Twitter engineers for correcting, criticizing him on Twitter, Slack

There seems to be a lot of distrust between Musk and the remaining employees of the company. More than a dozen employees have been terminated for either posting critically about Musk's leadership or supporting other people who posted critically, according to reports.

The workers said that under Musk, it has become an open hostile environment. Musk, who already told employees that he would be relying on his paranoia to push through this difficult time, has taken the drastic step of freezing them out from changing it. This happened during an emergency meeting that Musk held at 1:45 am on Monday.

Musk has begun to use social media to discuss his concerns and questions, rather than having private discussions with engineers. This appears to be the point at which one of the employees on the team felt like they were being demoted.

Eric Frohnhoefer was the first person to be fired by Musk after he responded to Musk's incorrect message.

Frohnhoefer said that he had spent six years working on the social networking site for the phone.

Many felt that Musk should have had an internal discussion with Frohnhoefer. Instead, Frohnhoefer took the chance to chat with his boss publicly and responded professionally, sharing with Musk what he thinks would help improve the service. The engineer was fired with no official notice after Musk posted that he would be implementing some of the solutions. When another employee shared Musk's message on the company's messaging service, Frohnhoefer still had access to see it, and he responded by saying, "news to me."

The otherTwitter engineers seemed to have reached their limit of patience with Musk. Ben Leib, an engineer who worked at the company for a decade, said he was fired on Sunday after he responded to Musk's message. Leib's tone is indicative of the growing solidarity between the remaining staff and Musk's management style.

Leib said that the man has no idea what he is talking about.
