The third and second betas of the upcoming iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 updates will be released one week after Apple seeded the first two.

The iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 profiles can be downloaded from the Apple Developer Center and installed by registered developers.

The Freeform app is included in both iPadOS 16.2 and Apple's mobile operating system. Multiple people can work on the same Freeform board.

For the iPad, iPadOS 16.2 brings external display support to the Stage Manager multitasking feature, allowing up to eight apps to be used at once. External display support is available for the M1 and M2 ‌iPad‌ models.

Apple says the new Home app architecture is designed to bring faster, more reliable performance to homes with lots of smart home accessories. The Home app won't work with devices that have been updated to the new architecture because of the requirement for the HomePod 16.2 alpha software.

Live sports scores are back for the TV app, there's a new Sleepwidget, and more, with full details available in the feature guide for the upcoming version of the operating system.
